A mobile app that I use at least once a week and am very familiar with is the Walmart Mobile App. Before the pandemic, I would never have placed a curbside or delivery order from Walmart for food or essential items. I wanted to pick out my items from the store. Being considered high-risk during the COVID-19 pandemic, I used the Walmart App daily to purchase items for a curbside order. Today, I use the app at least once a week.
The Walmart mobile app is simple to use and navigate. It offers a smooth user experience with an easy-to-use interface and controls. The software works effectively and is accessible on various devices and operating systems. The Walmart app is available for download on both the App Store for iOS devices and Google Play for Android devices. The Walmart app's visual design is essential since it influences the user's experience from the outset. The app has a unified theme that complements Walmart's brand identity and is visually appealing. Using images, fonts, and colors improves readability and usability. Product searching, adding things to a cart, checking out, and contacting customer service are among the main features of the Walmart mobile app. Personalized suggestions, in-app messaging, and order monitoring are among the extra features that the app provides.

The Walmart mobile app is designed to make shopping more convenient and efficient. Below is a summary of how to use and access the app.

  1. Download the app from the App Store or Google Play Store,
  2. Create an account.
  3. Browse the app to find product categories or use the search function.
  4. Add items to your cart and checkout with various payment options.
  5. Schedule pickups or deliveries from your store or choose fast shipping options.
  6. Track orders from your home screen for purchase updates.

Below are three recommendations for improvements to the Walmart mobile App:

  1. Be able to make multiple credit or debit payments. When making purchases, one should have the option to divide their payment and use two separate debit or credit cards.
  2. Include features like in-store navigation, real-time inventory updates, and direct checkout to enhance the in-store experience using the app. This would facilitate the shift from offline to internet commerce.
  3. Incorporate more sophisticated personalization tools that create customized shopping experiences based on consumer data. This might involve more user-friendly search functionality, tailored deals, and personalized product recommendations.
